1 Killed, 1 Injured In Double Shooting In Silver Spring
Police said the two men were found in a Silver Spring park suffering from gunshot wounds.
SILVER SPRING, MD — A man was killed and another was injured Friday night in a double shooting in Silver Spring, authorities said.
According to Montgomery County police, officers responded to Long Branch Local Park in the 700 block of Langley Drive around 9:45 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found two men near the rear of the basketball court by the playgroundsuffering from gunshot wounds.

One victim was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. His current condition is unknown. Despite life-saving efforts, the second victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, no suspect information is available, and no arrests have been made.

According to police, the victim's name will be released following notification of family.
The shooting remains under investigation.
