$10K Reward Offered For Tips In Tanglewood Park Shooting

After a boy was shot two weeks ago near a Montgomery County park, police announced a $10K reward for tips as they search for the shooter.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A boy was shot after an argument near Tanglewood Park in Fairland, and detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police on Monday asked the public for help finding possible suspects.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.

The shooting occurred just before midnight on Aug. 11; officers found a boy suffering from a gunshot wound. After the two argued, the suspect used a handgun to shoot the victim.

Police on Monday did not release the name, age or condition of the youth who was shot, and shared no description of the suspected shooter.
