Are you a Parent of a child with ADHD or Sensory Processing Disorders and would like to connect with other parents who share similar experiences?
For Our Kids, For Ourselves, a grassroots parent support & resource organization in Montgomery County & Washington, DC has two new programs - a Sunday lecture series, and a Weekday Morning support / workshop group.
Our daytime Parent Support/ Learning program will be facilitated by Linda Warschoff and will provide both Peer to Peer support AND Learning from a board-certified health professional. Each month, a guest speaker will be teaching and advising parents on concrete tools and recommendations on topics relating to raising children with ADHD and/or Sensory Processing Disorders.
The group will meet the third Thursday of every month (Jan-July) from 9:15am - 11:30am, at Congregation Bnai Israel, 6301 Montrose, Rockville, 20852. Cost is $35 for non-members; $20 for members. Drop-ins are welcome.

Our first meeting is Thursday, Jan. 19, with guest speaker, Bonnie Massimino M. Ed., BCET. Bonnie will be sharing with parents strategies on School Success: Creating an Organized Study Space and Home Routine.
Our Sunday Lecture Series, presented by esteemed Healthcare and Education Professionals, is open to anyone in the community who would like to learn more about topics that affect children and families with ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorders and other related learning and emotional challenges.

On Sunday, Jan. 22 we will be kicking off our series with a panel discussion on Understanding ADHD and Sensory Processing Disorders, with panelists, Michelle Herman OTR/L and Sally Neuberger LCSW-C (1:45pm - 4 p.m. at Ohr Kodesh Congregation, 8300 Meadowbrook Ln, Chevy Chase 20815).
Cost: $12 Advance, $15 at door, Free to Members.
