Aspen Hill Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Woman, Police Say

SILVER SPRING, MD — An Aspen Hill man is behind bars after authorities say he sexually assaulted a woman in his apartment late last month.

Montgomery County police say 38-year-old Orlando Constantino Coffield, of Postgate Terrace, was arrested in Ocean City on Tuesday. He faces one count of second-degree rape and one count of second-degree assault.

The victim told police that Coffield — an acquaintance who lived in her apartment complex — invited her to his home, where she was sexually assaulted.

According to authorities, the victim had bruises on her body.

Coffield was taken to the Central Processing Unit in Rockville, where he is being held without bond.
