Body Found In Wooded Area Of Silver Spring: Police
A Prince George's County teen was found murdered in a wooded area in Silver Spring, police said.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A Prince George's County teen was found murdered in a wooded area in Silver Spring last week, police said.
The victim was identified as Herson Mejia-Alverez, 19, of Riverdale.
Police officers were in the area of 8900 block of New Hampshire Ave. when they came across Mejia-Alverez's body in the woods. The incident occurred at about 12:50 p.m. May 23.

A medical examiner ruled the cause of death blunt force trauma and the manner was homicide, police said.
Detectives are working to establish a motive and identify a suspect, police said.
