Concert Against Hate Crimes To Be Held In Silver Spring Saturday
Residents will gather in Silver Spring for a Speakout/Concert Against Hate Crimes to honor Heather Heyer and Barcelona victims.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Washington metro area residents will gather in Silver Spring for a Speakout/Concert Against Hate Crimes Saturday, Aug. 19 from 6-8 p.m.
According to a press release, residents will meet at Then Homeside Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 12625 Galway Dr. to pray for the families of Charlottesville victim Heather Heyer and Barcelona victims.
Pray at the Pump Movement (PAPM) is sponsoring the program. A large portion of the event will be allocated for concert goers to offer suggestions as to what can be done to solve the "serious hate crime problem," the release says.

Participants will be asked to sign cards for the families of Heyer and Barcelona victims. The card for Barcelona victims will be be sent to the Embassy of Spain in Washington, DC.

The concert will conclude with the signing of "this little light of mine, I am going to let it shine."
