COVID-19 In Montgomery Co: 202 Cases, 4 Deaths Added On Feb. 9
Montgomery County on Tuesday registered 202 new coronavirus infections, as well as four more deaths from COVID-19.
SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County added 202 new coronavirus cases and four more deaths from COVID-19, according to the Maryland Department of Health.
Figures released Tuesday push the countywide totals since the start of the pandemic to 60,835 infections and 1,307 fatalities.
The latest fatality count does not include the 44 others whose deaths were linked to the virus but never confirmed by a lab test. For now, they are considered "probable deaths."

Montgomery County continues to have the highest number of deaths in the state. It also has the second-highest number of confirmed cases, after Prince George's County, which has 70,020, according to the latest figures.
Across Maryland, there have been 365,529 coronavirus cases, 7,234 confirmed deaths, and 179 "probable deaths." Of the 1,377 patients being hospitalized for the disease statewide, 326 are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
