COVID-19 In Montgomery Co: 326 Cases, 2 Deaths Reported Overnight
Thursday's additions push Montgomery County's totals to 58,011 cases and 1,250 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County reported 326 new cases of coronavirus Thursday, as well as two more deaths caused by the disease.
The latest additions, published by the Maryland Department of Health, push the countywide totals to 58,011 infections and 1,250 fatalities since the start of the pandemic.
Another 44 residents are believed to have died from COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus, without ever getting tested. For now, they are considered "probable deaths."

Montgomery County continues to have the highest number of deaths in the state. It also has the second-highest number of confirmed cases, after Prince George's County, which has 66,888, according to the latest figures.
Across Maryland, there have been 348,749 coronavirus cases, 6,861 confirmed deaths, and 176 "probable deaths." Of the 1,636 patients being hospitalized for the disease statewide, 376 are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
