Easter Weekend 2022 In Silver Spring: What's Open, What's Closed

There won't be many closures this weekend for Easter and Passover, but here are a few Montgomery County service announcements.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Some people in Silver Spring may have time off from work this weekend, as Passover begins Friday at sundown and Easter is on Sunday. There will be some modifications to county schedules.

Neither holiday is listed as an official county holiday on the website, so most things will remain the same.

Here are a few things to know before this weekend.

  • Montgomery County Public Libraries: The libraries will be closed on April 17.
  • Trash and Recycling: Collection will take place as scheduled.
  • Montgomery County Parking: All parking on-street and in facilities will require payment as normal.
  • Montgomery County Public Schools: Schools will be closed for spring break through Monday. Schools will reopen Tuesday.
