Lincoln's Bar-B-Que Closes In Silver Spring
Lincoln's Bar-B-Que has closed after serving barbecue in downtown Silver Spring for ten months.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Lincoln's Bar-B-Que on Ellsworth Drive has closed after operating for less than a year in Silver Spring, the restaurant said on its website.
The barbecue joint opened at 931 Ellsworth Dr. in downtown Silver Spring in March 2017. They closed at 6 p.m. Wednesday, after serving lunch throughout the day.
The restaurant had two 200-pound smokers to cook up tons of Southern barbecue, from brisket to pulled pork and fried chicken to collard greens.

"We have closed for good. Thanks for everything," the restaurant's website states.
Lincoln's was ran by The Restaurant Group. CEO Jeremy Wladis told Bethesda Magazine the restaurant was losing money. They saw large crowds when the weather was nice and on weekends, but it was not enough to keep the restaurant going, Wladis said.

The Restaurant Group previously opened the Cuban and Latin restaurant A.G. Kitchen in the same space in 2015. Assistant General Manager Philip Reeder said the company closed A.G. Kitchen because there are several Cuban and Latin restaurants in the Silver Spring area, and research shows there's a lack of barbecue options.
“We’re done in that space,” Wladis told Bethesda Magazine. “We don’t know what and how we could ever make it success. And we’re sorry, because we like the people of Silver Spring quite a bit. They’re very nice people.”
