Motorcyclist Identified In Fatal Silver Spring Crash With Tesla
Montgomery County Police have released the name of a motorcycle driver who died over the weekend in a Silver Spring crash with a Tesla.
SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police have released the name of a motorcycle driver who died over the weekend in a Silver Spring crash.
Shortly after midnight, on Saturday, June 1, Montgomery County Police and Fire Rescue responded to the intersection of University Boulevard West and Kerwin Road for a two-vehicle collision involving a white 2023 Tesla Model 3 and a black and green 2019 Kawasaki ZX636 motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Brian Antonio Martinez Gamez of Silver Spring.

The driver of the Tesla remained at the crash site; authorities did not release that person's name.
Investigators said Martinez Gamez's Kawasaki was eastbound on University Boulevard West, approaching Kerwin Road while the Tesla driver was turning left from northbound Kerwin Road onto westbound University Boulevard West. Martinez Gamez tried to avoid the car, but struck the driver's side of the Tesla.
