Only one student was on the bus, no injuries were reported, and both vehicles had minor damage and remained at the scene while officers gathered more information.

State property taxes show slower growth (mymcmedia.org) — Silver Spring homeowners are seeing higher state-assessed property values this year, which will raise 2026 tax bills even though Montgomery County caps annual increases at 10%. The state says more than 90% of local homes jumped over 12% in value, with increases phased in over three years and appeal and tax credit options available for residents seeking relief.
