1. The heat wave is gone for now and today will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 80 degrees. This evening rain is likely, along with cloudy skies and temperatures in the upper 60s.

2. Start your week off with the cheapest gas stations nearest you: Exxon located at 8384 Colesville Rd & East West Hwy and W Express located at 8550 Piney Branch Rd & Arliss St. for about $3.33 a gallon. (These prices are courtesy of gasbuddy.com so prices may vary.)
3. Silver Spring residents in zip codes 20901 are fully restored with their power. When the outages first began about a week ago, more than 230,000 residents in Montgomery County were without electricity.

4. Coming up in Patch, this week marks a year since Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett (D) proposed a youth curfew. Lt. Bob Carter from Montgomery County Police’s 3rd District among other officials will give the Silver Spring Citizen’s Advisory Board an update on at-risk youth in downtown Monday.
