Police Arrest Man Accused Of Attempted Murder In Silver Spring
Deondray Osborne was taken into custody in connection with the July shooting, police said.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County police have arrested a man who was wanted in connection with an attempted murder in Silver Spring.
Deondray Darnell Osborne, 33, was arrested Tuesday after police identified him as the driver of a stolen BMW, police said in a news release. Authorities were searching for Osborne following an attempted first-degree murder that occurred in July in the 8000 block of 16th Street.
Officers responded to that location around 4:30 p.m. on July 20 after receiving a call about a domestic violence dispute.

According to police, Osborne arrived in the parking lot and exited a silver Chrysler Pacifica with Maryland license plate 4FC4143. Police said Osborne fired multiple shots at a victim seated in a parked car and left the scene.
The victim was not shot, but his vehicle was struck several times, police said.

On Tuesday afternoon, a Montgomery County police cruiser equipped with a license plate reader located a BMW that was reported stolen out of Washington, D.C. Osborne was driving the car, police said.
Detectives were then notified that the BMW was spotted in D.C. following a theft that occurred in the 5500 block of Connecticut Avenue, police said.
Montgomery County and D.C. police officers tracked and pursued the stolen BMW as it traveled at a high rate of speed through Northwest D.C. and into Montgomery County, authorities said.
Osborne refused to pull over, according to police, and continued driving to the 1900 block of Lyttonsville Road, where he got out of the BMW. Police said he then walked to the 8600 block of 16th Street and got into a Honda Accord.
Officers followed the Honda and pulled it over in the area of Georgia Avenue and Seminary Road. Officers surrounded Osborne and took him into custody, police said.
Osborne was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is currently being held without bond.
