Police Investigate Four Home Burglaries in Silver Spring
The homes were burglarized while someone was home, police say.

Police are investigating four home burglaries that they believe occurred while the residents were in the homes.
All the incidents are believed to have taken place between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., beginning on June 14.

Although none of the victims saw the suspects, police said they believe "the same suspect(s) may be responsible for all the burglaries."
The following streets had homes robbed: 600 block of Bennington Lane, 9000 block of Fairview Road, 1700 block of Noyes Lane, and the 700 block of McNeill Road.

Because three of the four homes burglarized were left open, police are encouraging residents to remember to lock their doors and to review their security measures.
- Lock doors at night or when away from home.
- Make use of exterior lights.
- Trim hedges to reduce hiding places.
- Look out for neighbors' properites – especially for neighbors on vacation.
