Silver Spring Man Dies Nearly A Month After Layhill Road Crash
David Joseph Remondini, 88, died on Thursday — nearly a month after getting rear-ended by an SUV in Montgomery County, police said.
SILVER SPRING, MD — An 88-year-old Silver Spring man who wound up in hospital last month after getting rear-ended by an SUV died Thursday, officials said.
David Joseph Remondini, of Campfire Court, was the lone casualty in the two-vehicle collision in the Colesville area, according to Montgomery County police
The crash occurred just after noon on April 13 at the intersection of Layhill Road and Baughman Drive.

Remondini was driving a 2010 Ford Escape north on Layhill Road when he was rear-ended by a 2009 GMC Yukon XL, police said. Both vehicles crossed over to Layhill Road's southbound lanes before crashing into a utility pole.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear.

The driver of the GMC Yukon XL was not injured in the collision
Remondini was taken to a local hospital, where he died on May 7, police said.
