Silver Spring Resident Pushes to Get Injured Pooch Back Home

The pooch doesn't have tags to identify him.

 

A Silver Spring woman is pushing to help a lost and injured male Chihuahua find its way home. The dog does not have identifying tags.    

The dog was found early Monday near the Indian Spring Recreation Center by Ronda Nunnally.

Determined to find the pooch a home, she has turned to the East Silver Spring Civic Association listserv to help spread the message.    

When she found the dog, Nunnally said a back-leg injury was one of many issues.

“He was dehydrated, covered in mud (there is a creek/small swamp there) and starving,” she said. “I have bathed him, given him water and small amounts of turkey -- he does not seem to know what dog food is, currently he's sleeping next to my doberman.”
