Silver Spring, Takoma Park Restaurants Join Together For Restaurant Week

SILVER SPRING, MD — About three dozen of Silver Spring and Takoma Park's top restaurants will participate in the third annual Silver Spring-Takoma Park Restaurant Week from Tuesday, Sept. 5 through Sunday, Sept. 10.

Foodies can enjoy special multi-course lunch and dinner fixed-prince menus during the six-day event. Participating restaurants will offer two- and three-course lunches for $12 and $17. Two- and three-course dinners will cost $17 and $27.

“The participating restaurants embody the diversity of our community and offer cuisines from America and around the world, including Mexico, Ethiopia, China, Korea, Cuba and the Middle East," Councilmember Tom Hucker said in a statement. "The affordable prices provide a great incentive to come to Silver Spring and Takoma Park for the first time or for regular diners to try something new.”

Hucker, who represents parts of Silver Spring and Takoma Park, started restaurant week in 2015. He will help kick off the event with a celebration at Republic (6939 Laurel Ave., Takoma Park) from 6-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
