A 28-year-old Silver Spring woman was injured after the <a href="https://gaithersburg.patch.com/groups/police-and-fire/p/1-dead-1-injured-in-police-chase-crash" rel="nofollow">car in which she was traveling overturned</a> shortly after 1:30 a.m. in Gaithersburg on Thursday. Jean Marie Pollard, of Birchtree Lane in the Aspen Hill area of Silver Spring, was transported to a local hospital. Shayne R. Johnson, 24, of Emory Grove Road in Gaithersburg, died at the scene, <a href="http://www.mymcpnews.com/2013/07/07/update-identities-released-in-gaithersburg-fatal-collision/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to a news release by police.</a>   The two were <a href="https://gaithersburg.patch.com/groups/police-and-fire/p/1-dead-1-injured-in-police-chase-crash" rel="nofollow">ejected from the SUV </a>after first hitting a utility pole, a bus stop, a tree, a fire hydrant and a pole support cable, police said. Witnesses are asked to contact the Montgomery County Police Department's Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620. Callers may remain anonymous.

Police: A Gaithersburg man also in the car died at the scene.
