Single ATV Crash Kills Man In Silver Spring, MOCO Police Say

Paul Benedict Herbert, 52, died after crashing his ATV Friday, Montgomery County Police said. Officers do not believe there was foul play.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A 52-year-old Silver Spring man died after crashing his ATV Friday, Montgomery County Police said in a news release.

Paul Benedict Herbert died at the scene of the crash, which police said was on private property on the 1100 block of Briggs Chaney Road. The call that came in to police said it was a single vehicle collision — authorities did not say what Herbert crashed into or who made the 911 call.

Police said they do not believe there was any foul play. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will conduct an autopsy.
