What are you passionate about?

I'm passionate about reading, wide-open spaces, good food, and delicious wine.

Have any recent projects?

My fourth non-fiction book, Uncovering Race: A Black Journalist's Story of Reporting and Reinvention, published last year. It looks at race in media in America over a 20-year period starting from the 80’s to 2010.  It’s part memoir and analysis of where we are with so much access to media and it advocates for citizens to develop strong media literacy skills.
