Teen Fatally Shot In Silver Spring: Police
A 19-year-old man was shot and killed in Silver Spring Thursday night. Police have ruled his death a homicide.
SILVER SPRING, MD —Montgomery County police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old man who was fatally shot in Silver Spring on Thursday as a homicide.
Authorities have identified the victim as Robert George Dockery, of no confirmed address.
Around 11:35 p.m., officers patrolling near Hewitt Avenue heard gunshots and began checking the area for evidence of a possible shooting. Immediately after hearing gunshots, multiple people called 911 to report a shooting in the 3100 block of Hewitt Avenue, police said.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a teenager suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, according to authorities. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he died.
