Woman, 41, Missing From Silver Spring: Police

Saba Lemeja Debeya was last seen when she ​left her Sligo Avenue home Thursday, police said.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Police are searching for a missing 41-year-old woman last seen in Silver Spring.

Police say Saba Lemeja Debeya left her Sligo Avenue home at approximately 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31. Her family has been unable to contact her since, police told Patch. Debeya is not taking her medication and police and family are concerned for her physical and emotional welfare, police said.

Debeya speaks Amharic and very little English. Debeya is familiar with public transportation and frequents the downtown Silver Spring area, police said.

Police describe Debeya as a light-skinned black female, 5′ 4″ tall and weighs 165 pounds. She black eyes and long black hair.
