Woman Fatally Stabbed In White Oak, 63-Year-Old Man Charged: Cops
Montgomery County police have arrested the man they say fatally stabbed a 23-year-old woman inside a White Oak home on Monday afternoon.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A 63-year-old man has been charged with fatally stabbing a young woman inside a White Oak home on Monday afternoon.
Biet Van Tran, of Balmoral Drive in White Oak, was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree assault, according to authorities. He is being held without bond.

Around 3:22 p.m., Montgomery County police received a call from a resident in the 900 block of Balmoral Drive for a possible stabbing at a neighboring home.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found three victims. The two female victims had stab wounds, police said. The male sustained injuries related to an assault.

One of the victims, a 23-year-old female, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity will be released once the family is notified.
The other woman was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to authorities, and the man was treated by first responders at the scene.
All three victims were from out-of-state and had been staying at that residence on Balmoral Drive for the past few days, police said.
Authorities did not reveal a motive or additional details surrounding the deadly incident.
