Your Kids Can Participate on Election Day
Students can receive Student Service Learning (SSL) credits.

Silver Spring parents interested in getting their kids involved in this year’s election season can have them volunteer at their neighborhood precinct.
The Montgomery County Board of Elections needs student volunteers from grades 6 to 12 to serve as aides on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.

To participate, students and their parents must take mandatory training.
To register their kids, parents need to provide the following information:

1) Provide Parent/Guardian NAME, DATE of BIRTH and E-MAIL to receive temporary password.
2) Retrieve temporary password from email account provided.
3) Click "Sign-In" to complete application process by typing in temporary password and email provided at preregistration.
4) Follow system prompt to change temporary password.
5) Complete Future Vote application by selecting training date and precinct location/shift during the online registration.
6) Parent/Guardian and child(ren) must attend mandatory training to serve.
7) Additional instructions provided at training.
The deadline to apply is Oct. 1, 2012.

Note: This program is available to all students within a public, private, independent, religious or home-school setting located in Montgomery County. U.S. citizenship is not a pre-requisite to participate.
