Everyday we've got five things that you should know. 1. Today is Donald Duck Day. The Don appeared for the first time June 9, 1934 so that makes his 77 this year. He looks pretty darn good for almost being an octogenarian. 2. Our photographer Donna Worsham continues her weekly photo series Viewfinder today. This week she looks at the colorful homes of Takoma Park. 3. Aaron Sorkin was born today in 1961. He's written some of our favorite shows here at Patch, including The West Wing, which is a newshound's dream show. 4. Today in 1870, Charles Dickens died at age 58. He sure did a lot of writing in that short time. 5. Writer Josh Shnider continues his look at area restaurants later today with Italian restaurant Il Pizzico.
