TAKOMA PARK, MD — Police are searching for a man who attempted to steal property from employee lockers at a Takoma Park restaurant. The man is accused of trying to break into lockers at Republic Restaurant at 6939 Laurel Ave.at about 7:37 p.m. Monday. Police said the man was last seen walking through the parking lot, possibly trying door handles to various vehicles. Police describe the suspect as a black male, about 55 years old, 5'10 and 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, beige hat, dark jeans and black sunglasses. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Takoma Park Police Department at <a href="tel:(301)%20270-1100" value="+13012701100" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">301-270-1100</a> and refer to case #170549360.
