Guatemala Likely to Benefit from Lutherville Bike Collection

St. Paul's Lutheran Church hosted a Bikes for the World collection, which yield 59 two-wheelers over the weekend.

It is likely that the 59 bicycles collected from Saturday’s Bikes for the World charity event in Lutherville will be sent to Guatemala to help at-risk teens, organizers said.

In total, 59 bikes, spare tires, tubes, wheels and helmets, as well as $238 in cash and check donations were collected, said Lutherville resident Marty Reisinger.

The two-wheelers will most likely be sent to Eco-Bici, an urban youth project in the outer barrios of Guatemala City.
