Firefighters Respond to Rural House Fire

Firefighters responded to a basement fire in the unit block of Wyndam Court Sunday morning.

One person was left with minor burns to their hand, according to a fire department communications liaison.

The call came in at around 9:49 a.m. and was under control by 10:35 a.m.

Firefighters had to deploy a tanker strike team, or rather a mobile pool of water, in order to extinguish the blaze, because of the rural proximity of the incident.
