Live racing at the Maryland State Fair begins on Friday and will last through Labor Day.
The racing will start at the track at 1:05 p.m., at 2200 York Road, and the only day there will not be racing during that span will be on Aug. 27, according to a news release.
The number of racing days at the fair has been increased from seven days last year with funds from the Maryland Horseman’s Association, and is the first live racing in the area since June 8 at Pimlico Race Course.
