Police said that Robert Sinnott was given a key to the victim's home to be used in emergency situations.

Sinnott was arrested on Feb. 23 after police responded to a call from a witness who saw a man coming out of the victim’s home in the 300 block of Quaker Ridge Road. Sinnot was holding two or three photographs in his hand, according to the police report.

Sinnott told police that he had used a key that he was given by the victim to enter her home while she was out.

“He just wanted some pictures of her because he doesn’t get to see or talk to her much anymore,” the police report stated.

Sinnott acknowledged that he did not have permission to enter the victim’s home, aside from an emergency, according to the report.

Sinnott allegedly then told police that he had gone into the victim’s house the week prior and took two photographs—for a total of 4 or 5 in his possession at the time of arrest, police said.

The 67-year-old man escorted police into his own home and told police he kept the photographs in a cabinet directly above the stove in his kitchen, police said.

Sinnott spent one night in jail. He was released after paying $15,000 bail in cash, online court records show.

The victim filed a peace order against Sinnott who is barred from abusing, contacting, entering the victim’s home and must stay away from her place of employment.
