$422,000 Worth of Renovations Completed at Robert E. Lee Park

New additions include a pavilion and a pedestrian bridge deck.

Elected officials and members of the Robert E. Lee Park Nature Council celebrated new renovations valued at $422,000 at Robert E. Lee Park on Thursday morning.

The ceremony mark the completion of a $142,000 40' x 60' pavilion and a $280,000 pederstrian bridge deck replacement project. The projects are the most recent additions of a $6 million renovation to the 415-acre park, which Baltimore County obtained from the city in 2009, according to a news release.

Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz also took part in unveiling a replica painting of The Terrace at Saint-Germain, Spring by Alfred Sisley as part of the Walters Art Museum's Off the Wall initiative promoting open air exhibitions. A museum representative said the painting was weather resistant, and would move to a new area location after about six months.
