Back to School 2013: Orientation, Open House Dates

Every year, many students get the late-summer jitters about the upcoming school year.

Not to fear: your family can start preparing for the best school year yet, whether your student is moving to a new school or just moving up a grade.

Here is a list of back-to-school night events and orientations at schools in the Towson, Timonium and Liutherville area (let us know in the comments if a school is missing from the list):

• Riderwood Elementary School: Take-a-Peek Open House, Friday, August 23, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.; Back-to-School Night, Tuesday, August 27, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

• Pleasant Plains Elementary School: Take a Peek at Your Seat, Friday, August 23, from 2 to 4 p.m.; Back-to-School Night, Tuesday, September 3, at 7 p.m.

• West Towson Elementary School: Take a Peek at Your Seat, Thursday, August 22, from 3 to 5 p.m.; Back-to-School Night, Tuesday, September 10, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

• Rodgers Forge Elementary School: Kindergarten Back-to-School Night, Kindergarten, August 22, from 7 to 8 p.m.; Take a Peek at Your Seat, Friday, August 23, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.; Grades 1-5 Back-to-School Night, Tuesday, August 27, from 7 to 9 p.m.
