Baltimore County Accepting 'Women Of The Year' Nominations

Do you know a woman who's making a powerful impact in the community? The Baltimore County Commission for Women wants you to nominate them.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Do you know a woman in Baltimore County making a difference in the community? If you said, "yes," then the Baltimore County Commission for Women wants you to nominate them.

Each year, the commission accepts nominations for its annual "Woman of the Year," "Young Woman of the Year" and "Woman Making a Difference" awards.

According to the commission, 2022 marks the 40th year honoring women for their outstanding contributions to the community.

To nominate a woman you believe is doing awesome things in her community, fill out this form.

Previous winners and elected officials are not eligible to be nominated. Those nominated must demonstrate that they are a proven leader and have made significant, unique and lasting contributions within the community.

Those submitting a nomination must also include a narrative of no more than 500 words and such items as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Lists of activities
  • Newspaper articles
  • Resumes

Nomination packets are to be no longer than eight pages, including the nomination form, at the time of submission. Completed nominations must be submitted electronically via email or fax, or postmarked for mail, by 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 28. Electronic submissions are encouraged.
