Baltimore County Schools Offer Over Crowding Solutions

The Towson Times reports three options are currently being presented to provide more class space in the York Road corridor.

Baltimore County Public Schools are considering three options to help alleviate over crowding of schools in the York Road corridor, according to the Towson Times.

During an August meeting school officials reportedly asked residents to choose between these options:

  • Turn the Bykota Senior Center into an elementary school.
  • Complete a new school at the Loch Raven Elementary School site.
  • Add 300 seats to Cromwell Elementary School, reopening Loch Raven Elementary School and turning Halstead Academy into a magnet school.
