Baltimore County Unemployment Rate Falls

During March, more than 3,500 people entered the County's labor force, indicating a solid job market.​

From Baltimore County: Baltimore County’s unemployment rate has dropped to 4.6%, a positive employment trend in Maryland’s third largest jurisdiction.

The March employment report shows 4,036 more Baltimore County residents are working than in the previous month, bringing total County employment to 432,944. During March, more than 3,500 people entered the County’s labor force, indicating a solid job market.

“This is another strong jobs report for Baltimore County workers. Employers clearly are finding and hiring the talent they need. We all benefit when more people bring home a paycheck,” said Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz.
