Baltimore Schools Host 2017 BCPS Film Expo

The expo will show films by 26 student finalist from 15 different schools, at the end of the event awards will be given in five categories.

From BCPS: The public is invited to the 2017 Baltimore County Public Schools Film Expo to see screenings of films by 26 student finalists, representing 15 schools. Most of the films are 2 – 5 minutes long. At the end of the evening, awards will be presented in five categories for the high school entries (Live Action Narratives, Documentary Films, Animation, Experimental Films, Animated GIFs), and middle school entries will be awarded as a single category. The 2017 BCPS Film Expo is funded by The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools, Inc., through a 21st Century Instructional Initiative Grant.

The purpose of this event is to provide a creative, collaborative, and inspirational platform for BCPS middle and high school students to showcase their creative work in film. The 26 works selected as finalists were evaluated by a diverse panel of judges composed of BCPS personnel, local filmmakers, and Hollywood professionals.
