BCPS Changes Schedule Before Thanksgiving 2021

The calendar has changed for students in Baltimore County Public Schools.

TOWSON, MD — Schools and offices will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 24, Baltimore County Public Schools announced Friday.

The calendar had called for students to attend classes in middle and high school on Wednesday, with elementary school students to be off for conference day.

Now schools and offices will be closed from Wednesday, Nov. 24, to Friday, Nov. 26.

Schools and offices will reopen Monday, Nov. 29.

“BCPS staff have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to ensure the safety of students and provide them with high-quality instruction, meals and support,” Superintendent Darryl L. Williams said in a statement Friday, Nov. 12. “In recognition of their tremendous efforts, and with support of the Board of Education, we will close all schools and offices on Wednesday, November 24."

A new schedule was released for elementary school students the week of Thanksgiving.

Schools will be closed for elementary school students Tuesday, Nov. 23, for conference day. No Preschool-3 or Pre-K sessions will be held.

Preschool-3 and Pre-K Conference Day is slated for Monday, Nov. 22, so those sessions will be canceled on Monday as well.
