Pardon the brief diversion from the usual politics while I take a second to note that today is truly a day to celebrate the purple and black and orange.

Today, by tradition, is Purple Friday—a day for Baltimore football fans to get behind the Ravens. This weekend is a bigger game than usual in the NFL if only because it's a chance to avenge last year's playoff loss to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
