Grim said the sandwich was a favorite of hers at a diner near the University of Maryland, College Park.
Tim Blair, a Catonsville resident and owner of the restaurant, said he offered the sandwich earlier this year after Grim came in and requested it.
"The best thing about it is it's easy," Blair said. "Everything on it is something I already have."
Blair said he typically offers a special three times before it's likely to become a regular in the rotation. The Grim "did pretty well the first time," he said.
This is only the second time Blair has named a sandwich after a person and the first time he's named one for a non-employee.
Blair said he does like to give specials humorous names that relate to local events.
After the February bomb scare involving a toilet, Blair offered up the "Water Chest Watercress" salad and the "Port-a-Potty Portobello" sandwich.
There's also been a few with names Blair said were "a little risque."
"It's all in good fun and no one's complained," Blair said.
