A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Baltimore County will offer health care benefits to same-sex couples who were legally married in other states. The announcement Thursday comes nearly one month after an to the same-sex partners of police officers. The ruling applies to couples who were legally married in other states. Currently, same-sex marriage is not legal in Maryland. The state also does not currently recognize those marriages that are performed in other states. The county will begin offering the benefits on Jan. 1, 2012 after the change was approved earlier this week by the county's Health Care Review Committee, according to a statement released Thursday. "I am pleased that the Health Care Review Committee acted on my recommendation this week. Extending these benefits to couples legally married in other states is the right thing to do," County Executive <a href="https://towson.patch.com/search?keywords=Kevin+Kamenetz" rel="nofollow">Kevin Kamenetz</a> said in the statement.
