A former Baltimore County executive and former U. S. President share an experience with errant golf shots.

If Chevy Chase is ever looking to play another former public official, he need look no further than former County Executive Donald Hutchinson.
Chase, while on Saturday Night Live, made famous his portrayal of former President Gerald Ford taking an errant golf shot that struck a woman in the head and using it to create a caricature of the former President as clumsy.

Hutchinson acknowledged a similar incident during a discussion of how the Baltimore County Revenue Authority's golf operations were comparing to other courses in the area, including Geneva Farm Golf Course in Harford County.
"Geneva Farm has the distinction of being the place where I literally nearly killed someone with a golf ball," Hutchinson said. "I literally hit the guy square in the head."

In the end, it all worked out well enough, according to Hutchinson.
"The ball took a good bounce and I played the hole out well," a smiling Hutchinson said.
If Hutchinson gets a Golden Retriever named "Liberty," Chase is a shoe-in for the role.
