A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. A bill that some cycling enthusiasts hoped would open <a href="https://towson.patch.com/search?keywords=loch+raven+reservoir" rel="nofollow">Loch Raven Reservoir</a> to mountain bikers will not be voted on tonight by the Baltimore County Council. The bill, sponsored by Councilman <a href="https://perryhall.patch.com/search?keywords=David+Marks" rel="nofollow">David Marks</a>, would have allowed hiking and biking specifically in the city-owned reservoir outside <a href="https://Towson.patch.com" rel="nofollow">Towson</a>. Last week, Marks told nearly three-dozen cycling enthusiasts that there were concerns that . Nearly 100 supporters attended the May 1 work session—so many that the council was forced to move it's meeting from its conference room to the legislative chambers. "If the bill came to a vote, I don't think I have the support to pass it," Marks, a <a href="https://perryhall.patch.com" rel="nofollow">Perry Hall</a> Republican, wrote in an email response. "I've talked with the leaders of the mountain biking community, and they believe our efforts have put the responsibility squarely with the City Council to deal with what is the city's property."
