Towson Under Storm Watch; Chamber Cancels 'Street' Show

The scheduled band may return later this summer.

Friday night's Feet on the Street concert will not go on as planned, due to the threat of severe storms, the Towson Chamber of Commerce announced Friday afternoon.

The Baltimore area is under a flash flood watch until 11 p.m. Friday. Evening storms could dump as much as one to two inches per hour.

Accuweather calls for as much as 2 1/2 inches of rain in the early evening hours.

Nancy Hafford, the chamber's executive director, said the Beatles tribute band scheduled to play may be rescheduled for another concert in the weekly series, which runs through September.
