In 2010, Lollar challenged Rep. Steny Hoyer and lost. He garnered less than 35 percent of the vote, according to state Board of Election records.

On Thursday Lollar’s campaign will also hold its first 24-hour "money bomb" event. The Draft Lollar for Governor campaign committee filed an affidavit with the state claiming it did not receive or spend more than $1,000 during the last year.
