We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. A Cockeysville man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with a Towson shooting early Sunday morning. Francis Minsung Kang, 26, of the unit block of Brook Farm Court in Cockeysville has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and use of a handgun in committing a felony. Around 2:05 a.m. Dec. 16, officers on a routine patrol heard gunshots coming from the unit block of W. Chesapeake Avenue, according to an email from Lt. Robert McCullough, a police spokesman. The officers were able to immediately stop a truck they saw fleeing the scene and arrest Kang, McCullough wrote. Investigation revealed that Kang was involved in a fight outside Charles Village Pub. As he was leaving the location he allegedly threw a bottle of Gatorade at a woman and a fight ensued, McCullough wrote. Kang then allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired five shots into a crowd, stiking one man in the hand, McCullough wrote. The victim was treated for a minor gunshot wound, but his condition is unknown at this time.
