Cockeysville Man Arrested In Towson Shooting

Police say the shooting occurred outside Charles Village Pub early Sunday morning.

A Cockeysville man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with a Towson shooting early Sunday morning.

Francis Minsung Kang, 26, of the unit block of Brook Farm Court in Cockeysville has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and use of a handgun in committing a felony.

Around 2:05 a.m. Dec. 16, officers on a routine patrol heard gunshots coming from the unit block of W. Chesapeake Avenue, according to an email from Lt. Robert McCullough, a police spokesman.

The officers were able to immediately stop a truck they saw fleeing the scene and arrest Kang, McCullough wrote.

Investigation revealed that Kang was involved in a fight outside Charles Village Pub. As he was leaving the location he allegedly threw a bottle of Gatorade at a woman and a fight ensued, McCullough wrote.

Kang then allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired five shots into a crowd, stiking one man in the hand, McCullough wrote. The victim was treated for a minor gunshot wound, but his condition is unknown at this time.
