Community Input Meeting Scheduled for Towson Water Improvement Project
The Baltimore County Department of Public Works will be installing an 8,900-foot water transmission main in Towson.

The Baltimore County Department of Public Works is inviting community members to participate in an input meeting related to a major water improvement in Towson.
The department will be installing an 8,900-foot water transmission main along Bosley Avenue, Towsontown Boulevard and Hillen Road between Kenilworth Drive and the Towson water pumping station at Hillen Road starting later this year, according to an email from Councilman David Marks. The meeting is slated for 6 p.m., June 17 in room 118 at the Historic Courthouse.
The project will be completed in three phases:

Phase A: Along Bosley Avenue, between Kenilworth Drive and Towsontown Boulevard, will be constructed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Mondays through Fridays.
Phase B: Along Towsontown Boulevard, between Bosley and Fairmount avenues, will be constructed between 7 p.m. or 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Phase C: Along Towsontown Boulevard and Hillen Road, between Fairmount Avenue and the pumping station, will be constructed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the weekend.
The project is intended to supplement the current 48-inch transmission main, which is 50 years old, Marks wrote. Construction will continue through 2014.
