County Holds Forums on Homelessness
Groups of government, church, community leaders campaign, discuss issues
The county will host a series of meetings in Towson over the next few weeks to discuss the growing problem of homelessness in Baltimore County. The charette, sponsored by the county's office of community conservation, Baltimore County Communities for the Homeless, United Way of Central Maryland and others, seeks public input on a 10-year plan to be submitted to federal officials. The meeting schedule is as follows:
- Opening Meeting: Wednesday, Oct. 20, 7 to 9 p.m., Trinity Episcopal Church
- Panel Discussions: Thursday and Friday, Oct. 21 and 22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Towson Library
- Feedback Session: Friday October 22, 6-7 p.m., Towson Library
- Final Presentation: Monday October 25, noon to 1:30 p.m.; Central Presbyterian Church
