Authorities said the charges "stem from alleged crimes that occurred on school premises."

Court records show that Myers, a Towson resident, faces two counts of third-degree sex offense against a child under 14. The file alleges that the abuse happened sometime between October and December 2024

"These charges are deeply troubling," Deep Creek Middle Principal Laura Kelly said in a letter to families. "BCPS holds its employees to a high standard of character and this alleged behavior is abhorrent and completely unacceptable."

Kelly said, "BCPS is fully cooperating with law enforcement on this matter."

"Mr. Myers has been on administrative leave since February 2025 when we first learned of the police investigation," Kelly said. "He has had no access to Deep Creek or any other BCPS school."

Detectives asked anybody with information to call 410-887-7720.

Counselors will be available for student support next week. Families can dial 443-809-0112 for details.

"I understand that students and staff who know Mr. Myers may have questions and concerns about this arrest and may need to speak with someone to process their feelings in a safe space," Kelly said. "Ensuring a safe learning environment for our students is our top priority."
