Editor's Notebook: Two Years at Towson Patch

Happy Patchiversary!

As my colleague , it was two years ago today when Patch's first two Baltimore County editors started on the job.

It was June 21, 2010 when, still a hair jetlagged from a post-graduation trip, I boarded a train and headed to New York to begin my new adventure. After a day of getting lost on the subway, paperwork, training and pizza, it never occurred to me where I'd be, where Patch would be two years later.

I would spend the next three months driving around Towson, learning and relearning the people, places and institutions that make my town special. Meanwhile, I was running around town to help complete our directory.

We launched that September of course, a whole 21 months ago. .

Today, we're more than just a news site—we're a community hub for information, events, advice, opinions and everything else you want to know about Towson. And you've welcomed me into your homes, businesses and shops to help tell great stories from the heart of Baltimore County.
